Local Training and Legislation
We are all in business to provide goods and services to the motoring public and to provide a living for our families. Unfortunately, in today's economy it is not enough to offer great customer service and quality work. We must also continue to educate ourselves to the changes in the industry that affect our bottom line. We need to be sure we understand all of the requirements and regulations imposed by various government agencies and stay on top of changes in technology for ourselves and our employees. Understanding how to control overall costs is another asset to running a successful business.
We work with industry suppliers and trainers to bring Management and Technical classes to Arizona in order to help members save time and the cost of travel for yourself and your employees.
The Automotive Training & Expo is our annual training event bringing everyone together for a weekend of management and technical training for shop owners and your entire team. This event is a must attend for many and one of the biggest benefits continues to be networking with other shops from around the state. This is the biggest gathering of shop professionals in Arizona each year.
You also have online training at your fingertips through Automotive Management Institute (AMi), the leading provider of management education for the automotive service and collision repair industry. Whether developing your staff or your personal professional credentials, AMi’s industry-recognized programs provide the learning and knowledge to remain competitive and relevant. Tested core competencies provide consistency with the foundational knowledge needed to be successful while elective requirements allow flexibility to address an individual’s strengths and weaknesses. Combined, someone presenting AMi credentials should have well rounded industry-driven knowledge in the area of recognition they hold.

Chapter Events and Networking
Our chapters around the state hold meetings, training classes and share information to help grow their businesses and better our industry. Current Chapters include: Phoenix, Prescott, Tucson, Verde Valley, and Yuma. Our Grand Canyon chapter includes members around the state who are not part of one of the other chapters due to location.
We are committed to communicating all the important news and information that you need. On our website you will find updated information, calendar of events , training opportunities, member benefits, shop listings and our dues payment portal. News releases and E-blasts are sent out regularly both on a local and national level to keep you updated on important information or issues within the industry.
What's in it for me seems to be the phrase we hear the most. Sometimes it's difficult to figure out the return on membership dues when many of the benefits are intangible. As you take advantage of the member benefits offered from our Associate Members you can see the cost of your annual dues should be more than covered. As we grow, the board and staff will continue to evaluate and add benefits that will bring you additional savings. Associate Members are business members that provide a product/service to our members and also support the activities of the association. We support them as they support us!
